Got the head back from the machine shop today

The machinist cleaned up the guide, replaced the valve, and checked all the valves for leaks.  Time to put this one.

I cleaned out the valley, cylinders, and the bolt holes.  Getting the head on is going to be awkward because the brake booster and master cylinder are in the way.

New gasket…

Head, pushrods, and rocker arms installed.  Sorry there are no pictures of the head going on.  I was busy with the torque wrench.

It is getting late but before I shut down for the night I put new grommets for the breather and the PCV valve into the valve covers.
